And she’s not just a pretty face too. What you’re looking at is The Greenhouse – the first ever zero-waste performance venue at the Edinburgh Fringe. Making top-tier work at the Fringe in a way that protects and supports the environment. That’s something that we’re pretty proud of.
Over the coming month of excitement and chaos, we’ll be updating this blog regularly with information about our project – how it came about, why we’re doing it, and how we think the Fringe can become a bit more sustainable. And of course, we’ll be keeping you updated with all of the incredible shows and events that we’re hosting in The Greenhouse and all around Edinburgh. Wouldn’t want to miss those!
If you want some more information about our schedule or what’s on at The Greenhouse, then you’re in luck! If it’s shows you’re interested in, you’re going to want to take a look here. If you’re more in to all the fantastic workshops and discussions we will be hosting at The Greenhouse, take a look here as well.
Or, if you want to hold on to all of that information in one handy place, you can download our brochure here.
Coming up in the next couple of days, we’ll be giving you a little behind-the-scenes peak in to how the building was constructed, and giving out some top tips for marketing in a more sustainable manner during the Fringe. In the meantime, if you have any questions or just want to get in touch, feel free to contact us via this link here. This project is all about discussion – sharing thoughts and ideas to build a brighter future in the arts and beyond.
The Fringe can be more sustainable. It must be more sustainable. And we can all work together to really make that happen!
The Greenhouse by BoxedIn Theatre can be found at Dynamic Earth, EH8 8AS, and is open 10am to 9pm every day. Workshops occur 10am – 12pm every other day.
