They say a change is as good as a rest. I had a bit of both last week with a trip to central Brittany. A break from shows and rehearsals for a while, recharging my batteries ready for a crazy August.
It wasn’t exactly a holiday! Simon Scardanelli (pictured) and I managed to write a bunch of songs for our new project (a musical based on my play Clean). We have collaborated before, Simon creating the soundscapes for most of my theatre work, but this is the first time we have worked quite so intensively. We are still speaking to each other, we were productive, and we have learnt something about how best to collaborate, so all-in-all a success. 🙂
