Tjasa Ferme talks about this ground breaking mix of theatre and multi-media exploring the science of the brain. She describes how the idea emerged and developed into an interactive experience as much as a ‘show’ using live neuroscientific monitoring and recording which the audience see and hear as video and soundscape. And volunteers from the audience are invited to take part and see their own brain activity on screen.
In another break with tradition, the ensemble includes a scientist (in Edinburgh, it is Radha Kumari –bio medical engineer doing a PhD at Glasgow exploring using a brain/computer interface for stroke and spinal cord injury rehabilitation) who contributes a commentary on the brain activity we are seeing drawing on a range of evidence and studies.
