Richard the photographer from ‘fringefoto’ gives a unique view of the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe
After a busy week, I took some ‘time-out’ and caught the bus to Roslyn Chapel with Kate and Jo. On a sunny Tuesday afternoon we arrived early for our timed slot and were allowed in to explore the chapel and look around the outside.
We were then in a prime position to take our seats for the very interesting talk about the chapel including its restoration and feature in the Hollywood film. We concluded our visit by a walk around the site.
We enjoyed our time-out and I would recommend that anyone at the fringe should take a time-out moment for themselves, maybe at the Roslyn Chapel or one of the other interesting locations. Remember that you need to remain sane in this bubble.
Back to the fringe I went to Pleasance Dome where I met up with Nick Hennegan for his 30th Anniversary Edinburgh London Literary Pub Crawl. The London Literary Pub Crawl, a regular event for a number of years has been brought to Edinburgh, to highlight literary connections between the two cities and famous individuals.
I found the tour interesting but a bit rushed as it’s difficult to cover many pubs while talking about them in 1 hour. Hopefully he’ll extend the tour to 2 hours if he brings it back now year. Now back to the task of fringe photography for my 2024 Fringe View.
