Week Two Starts
Friday morning started well with a Fringe Review Workshop with C’Arts held at the Quaker Meeting House. This was well attended in the library with 25 plus performers, directors and producers.

Now in the middle of my second week and the launch photos are nearly complete and I’ve seen a few shows too. All the fringeReview reviewers are working hard reviewing as many shows as they can plus finding time to write them up to publish. The team are due to have a workshop over at C’Arts tomorrow and we hope for a good turnout.

A Busy Week
This week has been full – photographing venue launch shows and processing the photographs. The first batch has been sent to each individual venue’s press office, and I’m starting to post them on here and my ‘FringeFoto’ website, for you to see. One of the personal highlights was the ‘Meet the Media’ event at its new home in Infirmary Street at ‘Fringe Central’.
Day One
In sunny Edinburgh on Wednesday morning, I enjoyed a pleasant walk across the newly refurbished “North Bridge”. There is an air of calm at 7:30 in the morning as the fringe is waking up, and I’m in a reflective mood contemplating what the day will bring.
I have a fairly full calendar for today, with the “Greenside” press launch at midday – more later.
Planning and Packing.
When preparing for the fringe you never really know whether you have everything organised. I don’t really like the planning and packing and this year is no different. Even though I’ve been coming to this amazing festival every year since 2009 (except the ‘Covid Years’) you would think that I would find it easy. Though I don’t have anyone relying on my organisational abilities, as I offer a support service no-one will be worried about my preparations just so long as I have enough equipment to produce some photographs. For many years I have driven up from London overnight
I will arrive in Edinburgh late Tuesday afternoon ready to attend a number of launch shows with the aim of showing you all a few photos of the acts.
