Corsets, Acrobatics & Scandal: Darling appears at the Spiegeltent at Brighton
Fringe.

Pivot Point Circus is “a collective of eight international artists who graduated together in 2025 from the National Centre for Circus Arts, London”. We are invited to “Step into a Regency high-society ball where romance, rivalry, and gravity-defying acrobatics collide.”
Darling is an immersive circus spectacle blending aerial performance, physical theatre, and playful comedy for audiences of all ages.A colourful cast of characters “gathers beneath the watchful eye of the Queen. Some seek love, others favour and fortune, but beneath the polished etiquette, order begins to unravel. Expect elegance, virtuosity, and a touch of mischief.”
Darling is the second full-length production from Pivot Point Circus, a London-based collective of graduates from the National Centre for Circus Arts. Since its formation, the company has performed at Brighton Fringe and across London’s cabaret and theatre scenes. Darling premiered at Jacksons Lane in London in October 2025. Chrys Shipley, performer and co-creator, said: “It’s been such a privilege to make a show that’s so silly and vibrant. At its heart, it’s about bringing people together to share the joy we have for storytelling and our love of circus.”
Ruby Buchanan, performer and co-creator, says: “We wanted to create something playful, chaotic, and visually rich—like stepping inside a Regency fever dream.”
Darling “will take full flight in SpiegelGardens for two evenings this May, transforming the Spiegeltent into a lively Regency ballroom. Audiences are invited to dress for the occasion.”
