Space Planet Mission is a comedy by some of the top improvisers from leading improv theatre The Free Association, returning to Brighton at the 2026 Fringe.

Each show is an entirely improvised narrative based on the audience’s suggestions. Inspired by sci-fi epics from Star Trek and Star Wars to Battlestar Galactica and Dune, the show is accompanied by a live, improvised soundtrack.

Stories that boldly go to strange new worlds. Characters created at the speed of light. This is Space Planet Mission, the most spontaneous sci-fi epic in the universe.

It could be set in Earth’s dystopian near-future, or a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. But you won’t need to know your Klingons from your Cylons. It’s a supernova of cosmic comedy.

This “improv supergroup” trained and teach at The Free Association, the UK’s leading improv theatre. They have performed in many of the FA’s most popular shows including 3, Jacuzii and St Doctor’s Hospital, as well as the London 50-Hour Improvathon.
