Paul Levy talks to Daisy Jordan and Ulysses Black from Barely Human Puppets about The Sorrowful Tale of Sleeping Sidney.

“A grotesque, darkly comic Victorian story of obsessive love, murder, and confectionery. Seven lavish glove-puppets and one narrator-puppeteer bring you this tale inspired by the real Brighton Chocolate Cream Poisoner of 1871: sugary, but certainly not sweet!”

Ulysses and Daisy have co-written this piece, full of Brighton, Victoriana , the macarbe and sweet. They discuss how the piece was written, the craft of puppetry and how puppets can take on a life of their own.
