This year’s fringe is now well underway as the first weekend comes to a close. I’m just about on top of my photo editing with one more launch show’s pics to finish. Here are a few pictures to give an idea of the end of my week.

Passing by a press office a photo opportunity presented itself, notice how keen an excited they all are

So far the weather has been kind, making it easy to run to and fro from one launch to another. Surgeons Hall seems to be a bit of a magnet for me and on Friday I found myself waiting for their launch to begin I saw this tech crew again looking keen and ready for the off.

Once the show was over we all wandered over to Surgeons Hall and immediately ran into an central Edinburgh wide power cut which led to several cancelled shows at several venues.

Saturday was busy for us with an early start at ‘The Pleasance’ for their launch show. Here is a picture of three ‘FringeReview’ reviewers waiting for the show to start.

Once the show was over it was nearly time for the long anticipated ‘Meet the Media’ where many of the show performers, producers and directors have the opportunity to pitch their shows to us. So I will close with a couple of pictures of the event.

I was somewhat disappointed that not many performers came along to make their pitch in costume as these hours of boring queuing is an opportunity to make a visual statement.
