Review

The Englishmen proudly present their Brighton fringe show packed with sketches and musical comedy.

The four man team in this show were very energetic and performed at break neck speed an hour of sharp and often absurd sketches. Kicking off with a well-observed visual sketch; these guys made the packed house at the Three and Ten whoop with laughter.

Often sketches were too long or too similar to things that have gone before, however their characters, accents and physicality more than made up for occasional weak writing. An original and well executed Top Gun scene and a bitter Helena Bonham Carter forcing Tim Burton not cast Johnny Depp in his next film both hit the mark as well as the musical numbers on the Ukulele and Keyboard.

No single performer stood out in this show; All four had a variety of absurdity, naturalism, mania and enthusiasm which kept the pace going; the slick and smooth transitions were also very commendable as the Three and Ten gets hot and claustrophobic.

A quick witted and often hilarious sketch show. Recommended.
