Alison Skillbeck discusses creating ‘Uncommon Ground’ with Kate Saffin

Alison Skillbeck is no stranger to the Edinburgh Fringe. She is a writer and actor with several critically acclaimed plays under her belt Are There More of You?, The Power Behind The Crone and Mrs Roosevelt Flies to London.

In this interview she talks to Kate Saffin about the isolation of lockdown, how important the space of the Common became and how that led to creating a cast of six wildly different people, coping and connecting during one year on the Common, telling their unexpected tales of love, life, death and downright dottiness, while a seventh character lurks mysteriously.
