Review: Doohickey!
Easily the most accessible, sensory friendly, and fulfilling immersive theatre production for all ages
Morgan Hunter is a playwright, designer, and technician with bachelor’s degrees in English and Theatre & Dance from The College of Wooster. She has debuted five plays through her collegiate department and ACTF Region 2's National Playwrighting Program. One of these plays, "Jenny and Joey are Getting Married!," was written and produced as part of Morgan's senior undergraduate thesis entitled "They're Not Snowflakes, You Just Want to See the World Burn: Reinventing Historical Stock Characters for Modern and Inclusive Comedy Stages." Morgan intends to continue and expand this research at the graduate level through a Masters of Fine Arts in Dramatic Writing, where she will able to focus her research both on stage and screen. Additionally, Morgan was awarded KCACTF Region 2’s 1st Place Costume Design Award and took her designs to showcase at the national festival. Upon graduation, she served as the Assistant Costume Designer and Shop Supervisor for College Light Opera Company in Falmouth, MA. Morgan continues to work closely with The Dodge literary magazine. Once a student editor and archivist, she now acts as the Outreach Coordinator where she heads the newsletter organization and supplemental material creation. Coming from a liberal arts background, Morgan is most excited to explore the interconnectedness of all theatre roles, both professionally and in pursuit of scenography at the graduate level. On social media, Morgan can be found at @morganlikessoup.
